Become an Umpire
Becoming an umpire at the Lions Den is a fantastic way to get involved in the game, build confidence and develop valuable leadership and communication skills. Umpiring provides young people and community members with the opportunity to stay active, learn more about AFL and play an important role in supporting local football.
Our club encourages players, parents and supporters to consider umpiring, whether as a field, boundary or goal umpire. No prior experience is necessary, with training, mentoring and ongoing support provided throughout the season to help build skills and confidence.
Umpiring is also a great way for young people to gain responsibility, earn extra income and become more connected to the football community. We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our umpiring team and help create a positive game day experience for all players and families.
